Most any iPhone owner who has downloaded Angry Birds, whether it be the Lite or the full version, has gotten hooked. I got addicted as well as my kids, down to my 3 year old. The game is just about birds smashing into pigs to defeat them and rack up points, but it is extremely addicting.

At Game Developers Conference Sony has announced the PSP has sold 60Million PSP’s worldwide, and has no plans on abandoning the UMD format. Sony says it plans on continuing with the UMD format as well as Digital Distribution.

Sony just made hacking that lovely PS3 of yours a bit harder. The new TA-093 motherboard was discovered by Flasher, from PSPGen.com. Changes include, it seems to be using a different processor, the microprocessor is gone and other components have been reduced in size, a new spring attachment for the UMD door and new trigger mounts. Publisher Square Enix has voiced its support for Sony’s PSP and vowed to continue to release many of its major IP both on physical UMD and through Sony’s growing digital PSN portal. “The PSP is a great portable device, for both disk-based and digital content,” VP of brand for the PAL region Larry Sparks told MCV. “We continue to support this platform and work within the market conditions to ensure our software releases are successful. “Crisis Core and Dissidia Final Fantasy have been successful releases and we intend to continue this pattern with Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. The brand, the quality of each game and careful release timing, have all contributed to previous successful releases on the platform.”
